Nightmare Tiers
Nightmare is AION 2's solo, seasonal boss challenge. It unlocks at level 45 and pays a currency you spend in the Nightmare Trade Shop on wings, skins, growth materials and boss statues.
What Nightmare Is
Nightmare is a boss-focused solo challenge with multiple difficulty levels, layered on top of the base solo content. It is the primary repeatable solo endgame for players who want to test a full build without a party.
How to Unlock
Unlocks at character level 45. Entry is from the main menu. Community guides describe a race-specific prerequisite quest (Elyos via NPC Laninia, Asmodians via Brigid on the TW build) — unconfirmed for Global; verify in your client.
The level-45 gate is confirmed by the instance list. The prerequisite quest is community-reported (TW build) and may differ on Global.
Difficulty & Attempts
Per community wiki data (fextralife), the structure is:

Season 1 Roster
Season 1 runs 2026-09-30 to 2026-12-16, with season grades from Iron up to Challenger 1 (community data). The Layer I boss roster reported by the community wiki:
- Gatekeeper Pinopi, Furious Feruk, Fafnir's Poison Blood, Wraith Giselle (Common)
- Fortress Guardian Notun, Mutated Gerod (Rare)
- Zikel's Apparition (Legend, final boss)

Rewards
Clears award Phantasmal Fragments, spent in the Nightmare Trade Shop on wings, skins, growth materials and boss statues. Exact fragment yields per boss/level are community-reported and pending verification.
